Tuesday Poem – Beauty Ugly Beauty by Terry Moyle

I have been very busy of late with my MA thesis, as well as writing PhD proposals for various scholarships. However, Terry Moyle kindly donated this visual poem to share amongst Tuesday Poem enthusiasts.
Terry is a vector artist and experimental poet. His debut book, Cominghomeland (Auckland: Ducks on the Wall Publishing), was published in 2011. He has an MA Hons (Engl) from the University of Waikato. He resides in Kaiwaka, Northland. Visit his website here.
More of Terry’s work can be found at Rem Magazine.

  1. Very visual – going to check out his site now. Thanks for introducing this/him.

  2. Mary McCallum says:

I really really like this Orchid, thank you. Thought provoking huh? The way ‘beauty’ struts and frets and changes shape and calls attention to itself and ‘ugly’ is rather plain without much variation and insists on itself without the strutting and fretting. Fabulous.

  3. Mary McCallum says:

Just thinking, Orchid, this would be amazing on the hub – you’re editing next week, how about it? We haven’t had anything quite like it.

  4. admin says:

    Was thinking the same thing!

  5. Mary Cresswell says:

This is wonderful. Thanks from me too for introducing him/Rem.
